I visited 44 Mills Kitchen to meet a friend for brunch. To my surprise Brunch ends at 3 PM- the same time of my arrival. The lighting is dim and super intimate. The wait staff is really and attentive. I had an old fashion that was made to perfection. The food has a great appearance but not much flavor. I give it a 3 start at best! The ambiance, overall atmosphere and service is what makes this place so great. Our waitress was Emily. She made great suggestions, had pleasant conversation, and was very professional. I actually would go back just to converse with her! I ordered a creole Omlette with cheese grits and bacon. My friend had salmon with broccolini. My grits just weren't good. They weren't creamy like southern grits should be. Although, people were speaking amongst themselves the environment was not loud. The music was really good! The cake that Emily suggested was delish!
Ryan is the greatest server ever and when visiting here ask for him. The food is great. The Kamb and the steak pasta are delicious. Get here ASAP.
Stopped here with the wife on the way to Charlotte. To remind everyone, my wife has a gluten allergy and is dairy sensitive. I have a tree nut allergy, Alpha Gal and am diabetic. Yeah, we're fun.... Anyway, this place was perfect. In a strip mall , it's noisy and tables are alittle close together . There is outside seating. We had the deviled eggs to start (fantastic) and she had the quinoa avocado salad while I had the Caesar with blackened chicken. The Caesar was good but croutons were not crunchy (to each their own). My wife thought her salad was "one of the best salads (she) ever had." That is a big compliment. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our dietary restrictions. They do have a gluten free menu. Ambiance, as I said, is noisy. Tables alittle too close together - but otherwise fine. I think little kids might be ok - the noise might be distracting and the chance to get over stimulated is definitely present. I'd say a good date place and a great place to take significant other. Drink menu was extensive with some creative cocktails . If we lived in the area we'd definitely be back !
Great food. Great Drinks! Katelyn was fantastic! Highly recommend the Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini.
Dimitri, our server was friendly, efficient, and a hard worker. We really enjoyed him!
Our first brunch at 44! We loved the carafe of mimosas for $24, we just wish the food portions were more. The biscuits and gravy was okay. The avocado toast had a great flavor profile I just like I said I wish there was more of it or if it had a side of fruit or something. Service was excellent, our waiter was awesome. And the sunset mimosa and pineapple mimosas were very yummy.
I tried 44 Mills Kitchen with a friend for the first time on Tuesday, October 8th. It was a beautiful evening, and we decided to sit outdoors on the patio. Parking is plentiful in the lot right outside the restaurant. The interior was actually a little bit smaller than I had anticipated. This was a Tuesday; therefore, there was no wait; however, I can see a possible wait on a weekend. Our server was very nice, kind and made sure we were well taken care of. For my drink, I had the spiced paloma, which was just wonderful. As for my meal, I had the chicken sandwich, which came with a side of the herb fries. The herb fries were delicious. The chicken sandwich was good; however, honestly I didn't see anything special about this sandwich. I felt like it could have come from anywhere and it didn't stand out as special to this restaurant. I would definitely return again to try another item on the menu.
Stopped by for lunch with my husband while in town visiting friends and we were not disappointed! I could easily see this being a great spot for brunch. Our food was delicious and our cocktails were great. We showed up on what appeared to be a slow weekday afternoon so we were seated right away and had really attentive service. We both ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Sandwich with fries. We loved it! I've had bang bang shrimp before but never on a sandwich. Very clever idea! Would eat it again for sure. I ordered the Heirloom cocktail as well and really liked it. Balanced and super refreshing. It's not the cheapest spot around but definitely worth a try.
This restaurant was the perfect brunch spot during my visit. I arrived as soon as they open and was seated immediately. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The waiter made great recommendations and was very attentive. The parking lot was spacious and the restaurant was clean. Now on to the food.. For starters, I enjoyed black cherry mimosa and pimento cheese Rangoon. The Rangoon was served perfectly with a pepper jelly. They were hot and crispy. For entree, I enjoyed a bang bang shrimp sandwich. The sandwich was loaded with shrimp and served with seasoned fries. I thoroughly enjoyed my dine in experience and will visit again.
